A GROUP OF LIMITED EDITION 3-D PRINTS

“SOUTH AMERICAN” SERIES

A freelance client requested a “Brief” describing his 3-D sculptures

Rough surfaces, very tactile, reveal a kind of energy.

The exhibition comprises 4 3-D created sculptures collectively meant to address architectural alternatives to our environment.  When deconstructed, each print stands alone as a viable work of art.

The collection integrates art, architecture, technology and the environment to present the look of the future, while showcasing the design capabilities of 3-D printing.

All the works in this exhibition originated with a core concern of addressing multiple global issues including climate change, population displacements, political instabilities and social and economic inequalities through the reinvention of communities.

The works invite the viewer to experience the multiple design possibilities with 3-D printing; creativity, plus the environment and technology, collaborate to produce architectural design and individual works of art.  Inspired by organic life forms, the artist has reimagined the environment and how we can live in the future.

COMMENTS:

The work of is at the leading edge of the collaboration between art and the environment.  The ability to use a 3-D scanner allows for more intricate details, reproduction alternatives and enhances the artistic process.  The work digitally reimagines organic prototypes.  The sculpture is manipulated through 3-D production, yet requires individual creativity to produce unique works. Analog and digital are the new creative frontier as well as an architectural and organic solution to our challenged world and society.

This is part of the Green new era.
